#  De Tijd’s ​‘Mastermind’ Project Wins Prestigious Belfius Press Award for Digital Innovation 

Last night, the prestigious **Belfius** Press Awards took place, shining a spotlight on outstanding journalistic and photographic talent. Among the exceptional works, **Stephanie De Smet** and **Thomas Roelens** from **De Tijd** won the Belfius Press Award in the ​“Digital & Interactive” category for their project, ​“Mastermind”.

This project aimed to make long-read content more manageable and increase reader engagement. We worked together to transform the provided content into a powerful piece of information design.

The jury stated, ​“This contribution stands out for its originality, format, and visualization, putting the reader in control. The journalists present the theme — how we come up with new ideas — in a very engaging and interactive way.”

This project was a challenge we embraced wholeheartedly, so we are very proud of Thomas, Stephanie, and their team for redeeming this recognition. The award is a testament to the hard work and innovation poured into this project!
